Overview
Allowing Drive for Desktop only on authorized devices ensures that company files are only synced to machines your organization has approved and manages. This prevents sensitive data from being downloaded to personal or unmanaged devices while still allowing Drive for Desktop for users who need it.
Prerequisites
Super Admin access to the Google Admin console
A list of authorized devices configured in your organization
Instructions
Sign in to the Google Admin console
Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Drive and Docs > Google Drive for desktop
Toggle Only allow Google Drive for desktop on authorized devices to On
Click Save
