Overview
Encrypted attachments can be used to bypass malware scanning, making them a common vehicle for delivering malicious content. Enabling this setting ensures Gmail blocks encrypted attachments from senders your organization doesn't trust.
Prerequisites
Super Admin access to the Google Admin console
Instructions
Sign in to the Google Admin console
Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Settings for Gmail > Safety
Under Attachments, enable Protect against encrypted attachments from untrusted senders
Click Save
