Overview

Enforcing profile separation requires users to create a dedicated Chrome browser profile when signing into work content. This keeps corporate browsing activity, credentials, and data separate from personal browser profiles, reducing the risk of data leakage between personal and work accounts.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator access to the Google Admin console

  • Users are running Chrome 119 or later on Windows, Mac, or Linux

Instructions

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console

  2. Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browsers

  3. Select the organizational unit you want to apply this setting to

  4. Search for Enterprise profile separation

  5. Under Configuration, select Enforce profile separation

  6. Click Save

Note: This setting is supported on Chrome version 119 and later for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It does not apply to ChromeOS devices.
