Overview
Enhanced pre-delivery message scanning slightly delays the delivery of suspicious emails to perform more thorough security checks. This improves Gmail's ability to detect sophisticated threats β including zero-day phishing links, malware embedded in documents, and evasive self-modifying malware β that might otherwise bypass standard filters.
